The Paul Sallee’ Compassion Grant was established by Fresh Hope Ministries to honor the life, ministry, and compassionate heart of Rev. Paul Sallee’.

For many years Paul faithfully served God and others with kindness, humility, and a deep love for people who were hurting, lonely, or facing difficult circumstances. His life reflected the compassion of Christ, and his heart was always drawn toward those who were struggling or in need of encouragement.

After a tragic accident in 2017 that left Paul with a traumatic brain injury and significant physical challenges, life changed dramatically for our family and ministry. While public ministry became limited, the calling to serve others and bring hope to hurting lives never left our hearts.

In this quieter season, the Lord placed a new vision within Fresh Hope Ministries — to continue reaching people through supporting other ministries who are actively serving their communities.

Through the Paul Sallee’ Compassion Grant, we are able to partner with Christian ministries and faith-based nonprofit organizations who are extending the love of Jesus Christ through practical outreach and compassionate service.

As we often say:

“If we cannot go… then we will send others.”

This grant allows Fresh Hope Ministries to continue the mission that has always been central to our calling — helping bring hope, healing, and encouragement to those who need it most.

It is our prayer that every grant awarded will strengthen the hands of ministries who are faithfully serving their communities and sharing the love of Christ.

The Paul Sallee’ Compassion Grant is available to:

• Christian ministries operating under an established local church
or

• Faith-based nonprofit organizations with IRS 501(c)(3) status

Applicants must demonstrate alignment with the mission, values, and biblical beliefs of Fresh Hope Ministries.

The ministry or organization must be actively serving their community through outreach such as:

• Homeless outreach
• Crisis assistance
• Women’s residential and recovery programs
• Essential needs support (food, shelter, hygiene, transportation)
• Community compassion outreach initiatives

At this time, grants are primarily available to Florida-based ministries, though exceptions may be considered.

Ineligible Requests

The Paul Sallee’ Compassion Grant does not approve funding for:

• Individual personal needs
• Personal medical expenses
• Personal housing or rent assistance
• Political organizations or campaigns
• Programs that do not align with the Christian mission and values of Fresh Hope Ministries

All applications submitted to the Paul Sallee’ Compassion Grant are carefully and prayerfully reviewed by the Grant Committee of Fresh Hope Ministries.

Each application is evaluated with thoughtful consideration and spiritual discernment to ensure that grant funds are stewarded responsibly and directed toward ministries that are faithfully serving their communities.

During the review process, the committee considers several factors, including:

• Alignment with the mission and biblical values of Fresh Hope Ministries
• Demonstrated ministry impact and community outreach
• The clarity and urgency of the need presented
• Responsible stewardship and use of funds
• Availability of grant funding

After the review process is completed, the Grant Committee makes recommendations regarding grant recipients and award amounts.

Final decisions are made under the oversight of Fresh Hope Ministries leadership.

Please note that submission of an application does not guarantee that a grant will be awarded. Each request is prayerfully considered, and grants are distributed based on alignment with our mission and the availability of funds.
