Mission Statement
“Bringing Gods’ Hope Into The Community and Beyond”
At Fresh Hope Outreach, our mission is to lead people into a transforming encounter with Jesus Christ through public declaration of faith and water baptism. We believe baptism symbolizes new life, forgiveness, and freedom found in Christ. As we gather at the water’s edge, we celebrate salvation, healing, and the fresh start God promises to all who believe. Our calling is to take the Gospel beyond the walls and into the community, fulfilling Jesus’ mandate to go, baptize, and make disciples.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” — Matthew 28:19–20 (NIV)
Events
BEACH BAPTISM
Location: Matanzas Inlet

“Baptism is not the end of the journey — it’s the beginning of living fully alive in Jesus.”
“Baptism is your public ‘yes’ to Jesus — an unashamed confession that you’ve been rescued and made new.”
Our Team

Tayra Barnfield, Director
Tayra Barnfield serves as the Director of Outreach with a heart full of gratitude and faith. Though she grew up in the Christian church, her journey has had its share of ups and downs. In the past several years, she fully surrendered her life to Jesus and now lives led by the Holy Spirit each day.
Her passion is to encourage and uplift women, standing in the gap through prayer and intercession. She also carries a deep compassion for the elderly and believes in the power of showing Christ’s love through care and presence. Tayra has served faithfully in both children’s ministry and altar ministry, always seeking to be a vessel of hope and healing.
In December 2022, Tayra experienced a life-changing miracle—
Jesus healed her from colon cancer. She walks in bold testimony that Jesus still heals, restores, and moves in power today.
Her life is anchored in Romans 11:36: “For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things. To God be the glory forever! Amen.”
Tayra’s desire is simple: to love people well and point every heart back to the One who saves, heals, and transforms.
Our Team
Lucy Knutson, Co-Director
My name is Lucila “Lucy” Knutson. I am a wife, a proud mother to my miracle son David, and a grateful bonus mom to my husband’s daughters, Kaela and Kristina.
I was born and raised in the Canal Zone, a former U.S. territory in Panama City, Panama. Throughout my life I have lived in Puerto Rico, Texas, California, and now call Palm Coast, Florida home.
At the age of 12, while attending a tent revival with my grandmother, I accepted Christ. Though I didn’t fully understand the depth of that decision at the time, it marked the beginning of a lifelong walk with the Lord. My grandmother taught me the importance of prayer and God’s Word—planting seeds of faith that carried me through every season of my life. Looking back, I see how God’s hand has protected and guided me through circumstances that could have turned out very differently without His grace.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Southeastern University, fulfilling a lifelong dream after more than 35 years. While I initially saw it as a personal bucket list accomplishment, I know in my heart that the Lord has a greater purpose for it. After 36 years of federal service, I am now retired and serving as a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. This role has allowed me to encourage, pray with, and pamper women—ministering to them not only physically, but spiritually as well.
I have been blessed to serve my community and local churches through outreach and volunteer ministries. My greatest prayer and desire is to see my entire family fully dedicate their lives to Christ, trusting that the Holy Spirit is already at work in them.
My favorite verse is Philippians 4:6-7:
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
